Howling Wolf

Howling wolf with your crystal eyes

Sapphire blue, banished by time

Passing in the dark, soundless steps

Slipping between branches, do not fret

Like a skipping stone across the water top

You traverse the wood, hoist over the drop

Nothing stands in your way, not even the lion

Then tell me why brave wolf are you crying?

Ooh, ooh, aah

Ooh, ooh, aah

Ooh, ooh, aah

Aah, aah, aah

Trickling stream by your sharp claws

Racing in the wind against your soft paws

Downward hills, your gaze to the sky

Waving tails as the leaves rush on by

Striving on in blinding sunlight

Black shading comfort beneath the moonlight

Lonely lover admiring the bright pearl

Stricken by the broken truth she’s no wolf girl

Ooh, ooh, aah

Ooh, ooh, aah

Ooh, ooh, aah

Aah, aah, aah

Bitterness remaining with lingering remorse

Chasing the deer and the lightening horse

Into the distant, vent the stinging chill

Pounce upon the thrashing prey, make it still

Cold winds blowing, embrace the breeze

Out in the herd neither to offend nor please

Parting ways amidst the thousand trees

A sole ranger who shadow cannot seize

Ooh, ooh, aah

Ooh, ooh, aah

Ooh, ooh, aah

Aah, aah, aah

Howl to the moon, howl to the moon

Lonely lover admiring the bright pearl

Wandering the darkness across the skirts of our world
