They Call Me Demon

They call me demon

They call me demon

Why do I have to be the same

To be a part of you?

To be someone you can look at as a friend

Someone you can accept?

Why do I have to walk like you?

Why do I have to talk just the way you do?

Why does a little difference

Have to change the world?

You call me demon

You tell me I'm no one

You take out your knives

You take out your guns

But there's no deeper pain

Than what you do to me inside

Why must I be the same?

Will I always have to run away?

Will I always be a demon to you?

A little change in shape

A little change in size

A little change to make me what I look like

But I'm still sweet inside

Why must you always judge with your eyes

Have you no heart?

Don't you know I'd still be me

Even if you couldn't tell us apart?

You call me demon

You tell me I'm no one

You take out your knives

You take out your guns

But there's no deeper pain

Than what you do to me inside

Why must I be the same?

Will I always have to run away?

Will I always be a demon to you?

(Guitar plays)

Can you imagine my life

Always on the run

Aching inside

Just for someone

To know that inflicting pain

Is not my intention

To know that a friend

Is all I seek?

But you only see me

As a demon

You call me demon

You tell me I'm no one

You take out your knives

You take out your guns

But there's no deeper pain

Than what you do to me inside

Why must I be the same?

Will I always have to run away?

Will I always be a demon to you?

(x2)

They call me demon
