Come Talk To Me

Ayo, ayo, ayo

Oh, baby

Ayo, ayo, ayo

Drivin’ me crazy

Ayo, ayo, ayo

Wanna be your lady

Ayo, ayo, ayo

Come talk to me

See boy I’ve been waitin’ a long time to get this close to you

Thought to myself all those other ladies can’t do it like I do

I’ve got this secret goin’ on, yeah, this crush on you

So tell me if I let you read my diary will you let me read yours too?

Used to be shy and quiet, used to be on my diet

But now I’ve got this extreme craving I can’t control anymore

Want you closer than you were, want you to get off her, she’s a penny

Come over to my side of the bar babe, I’m worth infinity

You know I want you, I know you want me

So don’t stand so far, come over to me

I ain’t got nothin’ to hide no more

Come dance with me on the floor

Never ever felt like this before

Burnin’ up from my toes to the core

Of my beating h-h-heart

My h-h-heart wants us to never p-p-part

So come talk to me, come talk to me

Come talk to me

Uh-oh, girlfriend, did I just ask Romeo to dance?

Never had the guts for this, but do you think this could be my chance?

Permed my hair, glossed my lips, do ya think he’ll like this?

I’m feelin’ dangerous, no way I could miss

Time to go in for the killer kiss

But don’t get me wrong, honey, I’m not rushin’

Buy me a drink with this gold coin and let’s get chattin’

About you, about me, about we, ooh yeah

About what I’m gonna do after I get through to you

Use your imagination, haha, I won’t sue

I ain’t got nothin’ to hide no more

Come dance with me on the floor

Never ever felt like this before

Burnin’ up from my toes to the core

Of my beating h-h-heart

My h-h-heart wants us to never p-p-part

So come talk to me, come talk to me

Come talk to me

Boy, ooh, I just wanna say one thing

Can’t take any more of your staring

Your eyes have me transfixed, now move your lips

Whisper something in my ear that won’t make me regret this

And I’ll sway my body to the beat of your words

The rhythm that keeps me wanting, something Sexy only heard

If I need a password, ask anything at all

It’s gotten to the point where I have you or I’ll fall

Lost the blush in my cheeks, oh no, oh no

Guess that means I’m done waiting and now I’m ready to go

I ain’t got nothin’ to hide no more

(Nuh-nuh, nothin’ to hide)

Come dance with me on the floor

(The floor, hmm)

Never ever felt like this before

(Neva eva, eva)

Burnin’ up from my toes to the core

Of my beating h-h-heart

(My heart)

My h-h-heart wants us to never p-p-part

(Neva part)

So come talk to me, come talk to me

Come talk to me

(Come to talk to me)

(Repeat x1)

Come talk to me, baby

Ayo, ayo, ayo

Homeless

Homeless, homeless, homeless

Alone each night

Homeless, homeless, homeless

What didn’t we do right?

Homeless, homeless, homeless

So much poverty in sight

Homeless, homeless, homeless

Do you know what it’s like?

Oh, oh

Lately I’ve been noticing my brother keeps complaining

Saying he needs those new shoes

It’s just twenty bucks, not much to lose

Mom doesn’t see anything wrong, but he’s being taught wrong

She doesn’t get what’s going on

He’s been spoiled all along

And little sis wants her new outfit

Won’t stop whining ‘til she gets it

Has to be the exact one

She’s had her eye on it

If someone else gets it first she’ll take a fit

And before you know there’s money in her pocket

Not what she earned or even deserves

Too focused on showing off her high heels and curves

But we, you and I, who live under the city lights

We know what it’s like to live without

It’s not the money or the fame

It’s not the jewelry or the card games

Trying with all your heart is what it’s about

There are nights when we’re crying

And there are nights when we’re dying

But very few people care

Very few people are aware

Very few people are there

Oh, I digress

It’s a harsh life for the homeless

Too many kids up in school so focused on trying to be cool

Who’s got the new car?

Who’s the new Drama Club star?

Who can afford to travel that far?

Paris, Rome, Switzerland, Greece

Even these pretty places have children living on the streets

Like abused dogs kicked out from their homes

How sad is it that a five year old is surviving on her own?

We think we’ve got a lot to be mad because

Well, life’s unfair though still we get presents from Santa Clause

Shouldn’t we be thankful then that at least we have a family

While other strangers are freezing and crying in your back alley?

But the aristocrat has a nice fireplace

She buys million dollar cosmetics to cover up her face

Hide the blemishes, her skin replenishes

Lipsticks, creams, liner, foundation, and everything fixes

But we, you and I, who live under the city lights

We know what it’s like to live without

It’s not the money or the fame

It’s not the jewelry or the card games

Trying with all your heart is what it’s about

There are nights when we’re crying

And there are nights when we’re dying

But very few people care

Very few people are aware

Very few people are there

Oh, I digress

It’s a harsh life for the homeless

Ever walked the fancy city and paused a moment to take a glance?

Hundreds of folk dressed sophisticated and pretty

Give your eyes another chance

There’s a man holding a cup, trying to lift it up

No strength, a few quarters

Needed them to feed his daughter

There’s a girl, she’s smoking

Her babies are choking

Only seventeen, a mother of three

There’s a cheap looking bar on the side

Men and women walking in trying to hide

The fact that this it is, the last couple bucks

From losing their jobs, spending it for a last couple chugs

And when the beer is down their hands are empty

Would’ve gone home in a heated taxi

But they realize then cold reality, there’s no money

Hoping to get a few pennies

For a blanket to lie where your expensive steps go

There are tons of people sleeping in Grand Central station

Did you know?

Did you know?

So next time you open your mouth to complain

Think of the baby boy lost in the rain tonight

Oh, it’s not right

Next time you’re about to complain

Think of the beaten girl gone insane

Imagine her pain

Before you say you don’t get enough

Think again

Think again

‘Cause we, you and I, who live under the city lights

We know what it’s like to live without

It’s not the money or the fame

It’s not the jewelry or the card games

Trying with all your heart is what it’s about

There are nights when we’re crying

And there are nights when we’re dying

But very few people care

Very few people are aware

Very few people are there

Oh, I digress

It’s a harsh life for the homeless

(Repeat x1)

Homeless, homeless, homeless

Alone each night

Homeless, homeless, homeless

What didn’t we do right?

Homeless, homeless, homeless

So much poverty in sight

Homeless, homeless, homeless

Do you know what it’s like

To be on your own without a home?

Hold On

Storm’s comin’, get inside

Don’t let the rain drown your pride

You deserve it, I’ve seen you hurt for it

Go on now, keep livin’ your life

Don’t let them tell you you’ll never pull through

I’ve seen you do it before

And if they push you, if they scold you

You keep your head held high some more

If they say you’re too weak

If they say you’ll never last the week

Then just say at least I’ll try

And I’ll be there to wipe your tears when you cry

Hold on, hold on

Hold on, be strong

Hold on, hold on

Hold on, you can keep goin’ on

When you feel run down like you can’t stand

Look by your side and take my hand

I’ll help you up, I’ll help you find your strength

We won’t just go the mile, we’ll go the whole length

Weary head and heels, it’s okay to lay down

But if life’s beating you don’t you dare frown

It’s your smile that lights the world believe it or not

Don’t need the audience and money, it’s the heart you’ve got

If they say you’re too weak

If they say you’ll never last the week

Then just say at least I’ll try

And I’ll be there to wipe your tears when you cry

Hold on, hold on

Hold on, be strong

Hold on, hold on

Hold on, keep goin’ on

When the day is so dark and the night so cold

And you feel like your effort has gone to waste

Just remember you made it this far despite all you were told

You had the courage to fight fate

Nothing they said to shut out your dreams

Kept you from dreaming

You unlocked the doors, opened the windows

Traded the easy route to learn and know

But if you wanna cry too that’s alright

If you wanna die too that’s alright

Thoughts will come, thoughts will go

Just keep strong, you’re not on your own

I’ll be there, you’re never alone

I’ll be there, you’re never alone

I’ll be there, you’re never alone

If they say you’re too weak

If they say you’ll never last the week

Then just say at least I’ll try

I’ll keep trying ‘til the day I die

If they say you’re too weak

If they say you’ll never last the week

Then just say at least I’ll try

And I’ll be there to wipe your tears when you cry

Just hold on, hold on

Hold on, be strong

Hold on, hold on

Hold on, you can carry on

(Repeat x2)

Even when you’re slipping and your grip is loose

And you feel like this is it, you’re gone

Keep hope, keep hope

And hold on

So Long, Lover

Here alone, waiting by the telephone

Thinking of you, what else can I do?

Trying to distract, but your photo attracts

Seeing you smile while you hold me in your arms

Sitting by the fire feeling this desire

Growing with the hot flames, calling your name

Daydreaming of memories, of sweet fantasies

Of you and I making beautiful love

And now I ask myself why I’m here alone

Why I’m feeling so much ache and pain in my own home

Where is the comfort?

Where is the bliss?

Even if I lost everything it’s only you I’d miss

So long, lover, without you and I feel the pain

So long, lover, without you and I can’t feel the rain

So long, lover, without you and I’m alone again

So long, lover, without you and it’s driving me insane

Hidden in the blanket, isn’t this romantic?

Until I remember it wasn’t truly forever

Curled up shivering, body and lips quivering

Letting the hundred million tears flow down my face

Wanting to get away, only being able to stay

Glancing out the window like I’m watching you go

They come to comfort, yet all I feel is hurt

Please don’t even try, it just makes it worse

And now I ask myself why I’m here alone

Why I’m feeling so much ache and pain in my own home

Where is the comfort?

Where is the bliss?

Even if I lost everything it’s only you I’d miss

So long, lover, without you and I feel the pain

So long, lover, without you and I can’t feel the rain

So long, lover, without you and I’m alone again

So long, lover, without you and it’s driving me insane

How much time has passed by I wouldn’t know

Gave up counting the days so long ago

And now I’m here enduring this heartbreak

I’m not sure how much more pain this soul can take

Wherever you are though, I hope you think of me

I pray every night for you and I’ll pray for eternity

Stay safe, my love, I’ll always remember you

Just please let me know somehow you remember me too

It’s been so long

So long, lover, without you and I feel the pain

So long, lover, without you and I can’t feel the rain

So long, lover, without you and I’m alone again

So long, lover, without you and it’s driving me insane

(Repeat x2)

Hidden in the blanket, isn’t this romantic?

Until I remember it wasn’t truly forever
