You Can Still Fly

Two roads cross unexpected
Falling in love then regretting it
Making promises, don't keep to it
Hold on to life, no, just live it
We keep wasting time so unaware
Let's climb up the slide, slide down the stairs
Don't wait too long for a miracle
They lied when they said life is a circle

But did ever tell you this?

You'll fall if you don't breathe
You'll cry if you don't receive
You'll hurt if you won't relieve
You'll remember if you deceive
You're guilty if you stay shy
You're dishonest if you tell a lie
You're a martyr if you want to die
If you don't have wings you can still fly
If you don't have wings you can still fly

Small holes will dig deep
Sudden laughter and then you'll weep
Uncertain joys, things unknown
A will to explore but feeling alone
Salty waterfalls we can taste
Trying to slow down then there's the haste
Pressure's on now, stand or fall
They lied when they said you can do them all

But did ever tell you this?

You'll fall if you don't breathe
You'll cry if you don't receive
You'll hurt if you won't relieve
You'll remember if you deceive
You're guilty if you stay shy
You're dishonest if you tell a lie
You're a martyr if you want to die
If you don't have wings you can still fly
If you don't have wings you can still fly

That cloud won't come down
That star won't listen to your plea
That world beyond this world will never be in reach
That light in the dark
Everything you desire is so far
When those hands grab tight look into your heart

Did they ever tell you, would they ever tell you, they never told you

You'll fall if you don't breathe
You'll cry if you don't receive
You'll hurt if you won't relieve
You'll remember if you deceive
You're guilty if you stay shy
You're dishonest if you tell a lie
You're a martyr if you want to die
If you don't have wings you can still fly
If you don't have wings you can still fly

When He Loved Me

I remember when he loved me
Life was the best it could be
He'd hold me close, say he loved me most
And I'd feel so free

I remember when he kissed me
Butterflies streamed the night
The world hushed and I blushed
Everything felt right

I remember when he whispered
Promises I did believe
A life together, a love forever
My pains he did relieve

I remember when he called me
Late that night, I was asleep
I'd ask what was wrong, he'd say all along
He was missing me

I remember when he laughed
The universe turned inside out
I was on the stars, Earth was far
My joy conquered doubt

I remember when he danced
Holding me in his arms
We were in a trance, lost in romance
I fell to his charm

I remember when he smiled
Black seemed to turn to white
His face glowed, his beauty showed
Darkness turned to light

Then that morning came
Said he really had to try
Things were hard, his destiny was afar
So he said goodbye

All those nights after
Memories flooded my mind
Stomach churning, heart burning
Pain followed behind

His picture on my pillow
I hold it so lovingly
Wondering where he is, who touches his lips
If he remembers me

I remember when he loved me
Life was the best it could be
He'd hold me close, say he loved me most
And I'd feel so free

When he loved me, when he loved me
Everything felt right
